Unas Short Stem
The Unas Short Stem allows an application with partial neck preservation but also neck resection. Due to the curved form it is very favourable to be implanted via a minimally invasive approach and is saving soft tissue and bone material in this way.
Like all cementless stems manufactured by Atesos, the Unas short stem is coated with a first layer of pure titanium plasma (Ti-VPS) which has a very rough surface and a second top layer of thin calcium phospate (CaP). The outer layer provides an accelerated osseointegration with an extremely large surface and resorbs within 6 months after implantation. The inner layer aims for a long-term fixation.
